• Recognition accuracy is 1.5-2.0 times higher. This powerful OCR engine is a repeated winner of recognition accuracy tests. The recognition of poor print quality texts (e.g., output from matrix printers, typewriters, prints, photocopies, faxes) is unprecedentedly high due to the superior Integral Purposeful Adaptive (IPA) perception technology.

• Retains document formatting. FineReader saves original page layout with tables, graphics and columns. It recognizes single- and multiple-column texts with pictures and tables and retains document formatting. The quality of FineReader's work with tables is remarkably high - automatic page analysis will find correct cells of the tables (including vertically and horizontally merged cells); special tools will allow the user to add or remove new rows or columns if necessary; the built-in editor will show the recognized table for further editing, retaining the connection with the original image.

• Simple and friendly interface (Scan&Read Wizard) and powerful features. A document with tables, color pictures will be automatically recognized after you click Scan&Read button. Scan&Read Wizard will train you to input documents in the computer. Now even a beginner can quickly input a document with a compound text layout in the computer and get an excellent result in MS Word.

After downloading each file, please, copy the file into the folder where FineReader 4.0 was installed and run it. That's all - run FineReader and it will be able to recognize texts in the language you added. NOTE: Russian language is not included.

• Integrate with MS Word, MS Excel, WordPerfect, Word Pro. Export to MS Word 97/95/6.0, MS Excel 97/95/6.0, PDF format, Word Pro 97, WordPerfect 8.0/7.0. The recognition results - including tables and pictures can be sent to any of the supported applications, without saving it to the disk.

• Batch processing. Each batch may contain up to 9999 pages. In the Batch window you can see the list of pages of the current batch. It supports multiple selection of pages.

• Train to recognize new symbols. Unusual fonts and poor-quality texts can be recognized after special training.

• Work with color images. FineReader will scan a document in colors, recognize the text, insert color pictures into it and export the result. And you will get a copy of your ad booklet in MS Word!
