Description

Multicalc is a computer program that quickly provides an estimate of a wide array of building material components. By simply providing the program with the “Length” and “Width” of the structure, along with the roof pitch, many questions about the materials needed for the structure are answered instantly.

You quickly determine the materials needed for your new structure by entering only two (2) quantities and by clicking the mouse button once. To see the impact of changing the size of the siding or the width and length of the sheet rock, simply click the mouse button. You can even add 2% to the totals for waste, by simply clicking a check box.

The Material estimates appear automatically without the need to repeatedly press a calculate button, because there is NO calculate button! With this feature, any of the variables can be changed and the new quantities appear instantly. For example, you can click on the radio button to change from an 8-foot sheet of sheet rock to a 12-foot sheet and see the numbers change instantaneously. You can also change roof pitch or overhang and determine the new number of sheets of plywood, or the number of squares of roofing material required for the roof simply by clicking the mouse button.

Square footage and lineal footage figures are provided for the roof, floor, ceiling and wall measurements. The program separates the various elements of the structure such as, Roof, Ceiling, Walls, and Floor and color-codes them for easy recognition.
