What exactly does The Virtual Software Store do? The Virtual Software Store deals exclusively in electronically downloaded software. We host a storefront on the Internet where customers all over the world can get information on a wide variety of software and purchase it online using a credit card, check or charge to their telephone bill. We resell software for the MS Windows, Macintosh, UNIX, PalmOS and PocketPC platforms, operating as a traditional reseller does, where we pay you the publisher a wholesale price for the software which we retail at a higher margin. We directly handle the software distribution ourselves. Our main objectives are to make the shopping experience for our customers convenient, safe and easy. We are experienced at this new way of selling software and have a long list of both software publishers and customers who are satisfied with the service we offer. What does it cost to resell my products at The Virtual Software Store? We have a one-time $29.95 Publisher Setup Fee which we will deduct from the first sales of your software. From then on, we make money only on the margin of each sale. This margin is typically 20-25% with a minimum of $3.50 USD on each sale. What other fees do I have to pay? Unlike other software resellers, there are absolutely no other fees that you will ever incur other than the original setup fee. You can submit as many products as you'd like without incurring additional fees. Do I have to pay for Chargebacks? Absolutely not! We bear all risks associated with Chargebacks. Where other online resellers will not pay you for software sales that resulted in Chargebacks, we stand behind our security systems and pay you for all sales of your products, regardless of whether it becomes a chargeback or not. How do you handle customer refunds? We offer our customers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Should they be dissatisfied with their purchase, they may request and obtain a refund in full by mailing us a signed "Letter of Destruction" within 30 days of their purchase date. An amount equal to the wholesale price you were paid for the software sale is debited from your account when the customer credit is issued. How and when do I get paid for the software sales? Each month, we will mail you a check in US Dollars for the total wholesale price of all sales orders from the previous month. All payments are mailed out within 15 days of the end of any given month. How do I know that you are reporting and paying me for all sales of my product(s)? We give you direct access to our live database which you can query at any time you'd like. We become profitable when you become profitable; a win-win situation which we do not want to jeopardize. Also, I doubt we would have been able to stay in business for 9 years by cheating our software publishers. Do you require an Exclusivity Agreement? Of course not! We want you to be successful with your software products, which means that you should be free to resell that product with whomever you choose. We want you to choose The Virtual Software Store based on the value you receive from our services, and if you find a better service elsewhere (you won't) then you should be free to use them too. Some other online resellers that insist on exclusivity obviously do not have YOUR best interest in mind. Can you also resell and distribute the CD-ROM version of my software? We only deal in electronically downloaded software. This way customers know exactly what they get when they visit our site. It also allows us to focus on providing the latest robust technologies to enhance our customers' electronic software shopping experience. Can you also distribute the free trial version of my product? Sure! The more we can do to help convince a customer to purchase your software, the better. Our software uses a Registration Code to unlock the software. How do you handle this? We can sequentially assign Registration Codes from a predetermined sequence as well as dynamically create these at the time of sale based on the "Buyer Name". Do you provide the technical support for the product? We provide assistance to the customer up to the point where he has successfully received the download files on his computer. Technical Support for installation or operational issues are the responsibility of the software publisher. All customer requests for assistance of this kind are forwarded to the publisher for resolution. You must first complete the Publisher Submission Form which will generate a Sales Agreement for you to sign and send to us.
